Courtney Machamer is an accomplished interior designer with eight years of professional experience, specializing in both residential and commercial design. Currently employed at Colliers Engineering & Design, she focuses primarily on the retail sector, where she applies her creative vision and technical expertise to develop spaces that are both functional and aesthetically compelling.

Courtney earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Moore College of Art & Design, where she honed her passion for design. With a background that includes five and a half years in residential design, she has developed a versatile skill set that allows her to navigate diverse design challenges with ease. In 2022, she earned her NCIDQ certification, further solidifying her expertise and commitment to the profession. She is also a LEED Green Associate, reflecting her passion for sustainability in design and her commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

Outside of her professional life, Courtney is an avid runner, regularly participating in half marathons and local races. She is also deeply passionate about art and world travel, believing that exposure to new cultures and experiences enriches her design perspective and allows her to approach each project with a fresh, globally informed lens.

As the current Director at Large for ASID, Courtney is dedicated to advocating for the advancement of the interior design profession and fostering a community of innovation and sustainability within the industry. Her diverse background, commitment to sustainability, and personal passions all contribute to her holistic approach to design, shaping spaces that inspire and connect with people on a deeper level.
