Interior Design Legislative Coalition of Pennsylvania

The Interior Design Legislative Coalition of Pennsylvania (IDLCPA) is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing the interior design profession through licensing and regulation. IDLCPA was established in the late 1980’s as a statewide coalition. For over two decades the Coalition has worked hard producing two draft bills in the early 1990’s and submitting an exhaustive answer to the Sunrise Evaluation Report required by the Pennsylvania legislature in December of 2004. The International Interior Design Association has published the Coalition’s work on the IIDA Knowledge Center, IDLCPA Sunrise Evaluation Report: Defining the Interior Design Profession. IDLCPA has over 850 members consisting of interior design professionals, students, educators, industry partners, and affiliated professionals. The board has 24 appointed members serving from locations across Pennsylvania.

IDLCPA is inviting design professionals, industry members and students from across the state to meet PA Senators and House of Representatives and discuss why licensing is so important for the ENTIRE profession! They are asking for your financial support so that we can fund the students and professional designers who are participating at the exhibit in Harrisburg. Your support will make possible the personal effort needed to interact with key representatives and senators for the entire day, making a profound impact beyond that of a phone call or email.
