Chapter Communications Policies and Procedures

ASID PA East is dedicated to effectively communicating Chapter events, news, and information to benefit our members to in turn advance the profession of interior design and the impact of design on the human experience.


THE POLICES, PRICING AND PROCEDURES IS EFFECTIVE 1/1/22 FOR THE 2022 YEAR.

A2D – Access to Design

Bi-Weekly Digital Chapter Newsletter

GUIDELINES

  • Sent to all Members  and contacts via Email on 1st and 3rd WEDNESDAY of each month.
  • Deadline for Submissions MUST BE sent to administrator@pae.asid.org which will then be reviewed by Communications Director by end of business day on the Monday, 2 WEEKS PRIOR to the Wednesday A2D (no exceptions) which you would like your submission included.
  • We will gladly post if date/event DOES NOT conflict with an ASID PA East Chapter Event (within a 3-business day window).
  • ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS:
    • NOTE: All submissions to be included in 2 non-consecutive issues of A2D are approved at the discretion of Chapter Communications.
    • Online or in Person events
    • Meetings
    • Additions to Staff
    • New Location
    • Virtual Tours
    • CEUs
    • Job Postings – will be placed on our dedicated website page but will be highlighted as a new listed when you submit.
    • Events must be listed if free of charge to membership. 
  • SALE PROMOTIONS., SELLING/RENTING of SPACES and/or ITEMS are NOT ACCEPTED.
  • COST per set of (2) Consecutive Issues:
    • Members: FREE IF YOUR EVENT/CEU/ETC. HAS NO COST TO ATTEND/APPLY
    • Members: $50 Fee IF THERE IS A CHARGE TO ATTEND THE EVENT
    • Creation Fee – if ASID PA East needs to create your post and/graphics $50.00
    • NON Members: $150.00
    • Non Member Creation Fee: if ASID PA East needs to create your post and/graphics $75.00
  • SUPPORTING DIGITAL MEDIA / GRAPHICS
    • Must be in JPG or PNJ Format. 
    • PDFs WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
    • Recommended size – not to exceed 1080 pixels x 1080 pixels (Instagram format)
      • ​​​​​​Does not exceed 1080 x 1080 pixels (instagram format)
      • Square or horizontal format.
      • No vertical images.
      • Include date, time, location as applicable.
  • SUPPORTING TEXT
    • Please send in WORD Format.
    • Include corresponding LINK for registeration/information.
    • Include social media link if required.
    • Suggested that text be in a Third-Person format, as the communication will be coming from the Chapter and not you/your business
  • SUPPORTING EXTERNAL LINKS
    • Your website, a registration page such as eventbrite or zoom.
    • Email address for contact or registration.
    • Include any contact information such as emai/phone, as necessary.
    • All info sjould be check for accuracy prior to submitting.
  • If your event is to be posted n the Chapter Website, please advise. We will use a branded Chapter IP or Chapter Sponsor Event Graphic.
  • If any fees are associated with your post –Payment must be received by Chapter Administrator no later than end of business day on the Monday 1 week prior to the Wednesday EOTC in which your submission will be included. 3% Credit Processing fee applies.

Again, The ASID PA East Chapter will review all submission requests and has the discretion to include or not include in ASID PA East Chapter Communications.

Dedicated Email Blasts

E-Blasts are sent to all digtial contacts.

NEW Chapter Member E-Blast Benefit (Practiction or Industry Partner at no-Charge)

If you are a NEW Chapter member (not reinstated), having joined within the last fiscal year (starting October 1st), you are eligible for a New Member Spotlight E-Blast to our digital maliing list.

  • Your name/company must be listed on our Chapter Roster that is received from ASID Natinal and be a member in good standing.
  • One (10 New Member Spotlight available per month on a first come first serve basis.
  • Date of blast dependent upon other Chapter email communications (including newseletter, Sponsor E-Blasts, and Event E-blasts).
  • Guidelines:
    • Please follow digital images, text and external link guidelines listed under A2D Guidelines on this page.
    • The Chapter Communications team will format the E-blast.
    • Include all necessary links.
  • Acceptable Submissions:
    • Annoucing an event/program (events must be free of charge to members).
      • If the event is withing one (1) wee of a Chapter event, we will do our best to accomodate the E-Blast but we can not guarantee as priority mailing is for Chapter and/or Sponsor Events (online and in person).
    • New Locations
    • Additions to staff
    • New product introductions, special offers (Sales are not accepted content). 
  • Deadline for submissions must be sent to administrator@pae.asid.org by end of business day three weeks prior to requested posting. 
    • The administrator will confirm membership status.
    • The Chapter Communications team will reveiewi submission and advised on acceptance to send out. Requeat for your dedicated e-blast to be sent out on a specific date/day/time is dependent upon the communications schedule at the time of submission.  Typical days of blast would be a Friday as E-Newsletter and Sponsor blasts are on Wednesdays.​​​​​​

CHAPTER SPONSOR E-Blast Benefit 

  • Dates of E-Blasts will be coordinated with Communications Director and the Chapter Administrator.
  • Blasts are typically 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each Monday. If there is a 5th Wednesday, this day may be used as well.
  • Guidelines:
    • Please follow digital images, text and external link guidelines listed under A2D Guidelines on this page.
    • The Chapter Communications team will format the E-blast.
  • Acceptable Submissions:
    • Annoucing an event/program (events must be free of charge to members).
      • If the event is withing one (1) wee of a Chapter event, we will do our best to accomodate the E-Blast but we can not guarantee as priority mailing is for Chapter and/or Sponsor Events (online and in person).

Dedicated E-blast are reserved for Chapter Sponsors as part of their benefit package and New Members.

Mailing Lists 

  • Per ASID National Bylaws – ASID Chapters may NOT share member information with any member, nonmember, vendor, or publication.

The ASID PA East Chapter Board has elected not to authorize any postal mailings at this time in accordance with ASID National Bylaws.  Please contact us via our Communication Guidelines if you are interested in a dedicated E-Blast or posting in our chapter newsletter – Access to Design (A2D). Options are available for posting within those formats.

If you are a Chapter Member and you/your company  you can be featured at the top of the pages under “Chapter Members’.

  • Send your company logo to administrator administrator@pae.asid.org so you can be featured at the top of the page.  To be included in in Newsletter (1st and 3rd Wed of month) submit by  1 week prior.
  • Send job title & description in either;
    • PDF document with description and any assocatied contact info.
    • or LINK to job posting on your website/online posting.
  • Do not send graphics.
  • MEMBERS – if you would like to have the posting featured in the Chapter Newsletter, please advise the Administrator in your email.
