Chapter Communications Policies and Procedures

ASID PA East is dedicated to effectively communicating Chapter events, news, and information to benefit our members to in turn advance the profession of interior design and the impact of design on the human experience.

A2D – Access to Design

Bi-Weekly Digital Chapter Newsletter

GUIDELINES:

  • Sent to all Members via Email on 1st and 3rd WEDNESDAY of each month
  • Deadline for Submissions MUST BE sent to communications@pae.asid.og by end of business day on the Monday 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the Wednesday EOTC (no exceptions) which you would like your submission included.
  • ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS:
    • o NOTE: All submissions to be included in 2 non-consecutive issues of EOTC are approved at the discretion of Chapter Communications.
    • o Online or in Person events
    • o Meetings
    • o New Product Introductions (but cannot be Sale promotion/selling of items and or space)
    • o Additions to Staff
    • o New Location
    • o Virtual Tours
    • o CEUs
    • o Job Postings (See guidelines on this page)
    • o Events must be free of Charge
  • Supporting digital media/graphics (flyers, poster, banners, etc) 
    • MUST BE submitted in JPG/JPEG format. No Exceptions please.
    • PDF format will not be accepted.  It is highly recommended that these images DO NOT exceed 800 pixels in width. 
      • Square format 800x800 is best recommendation.
    • Do not send text and graphics as one file. Please send graphics (JPG/PNJ) and text (word document) separately.
      • Suggested that text be in 3-person format, as the communication will be coming from the Chapter and not you/your business.
    • Supporting external links (your website, Eventbrite) can also be included with your submission and should be checked for accuracy prior to submitting. We will not be responsible for broken links.
    • o Please include any contact information including email/phone, as necessary.
    • o All info should be checked for accuracy prior to submitting.
  • If your Event is to be posted to the Chapter Website, please include:
    • Header Graphic is to be included in JPEG/PNG Format – 810x450 pixels

ASID PA EAST INDUSTRY PARTNERS AND MEMBERS POSTINGS

  • Please refer to graphic and submission deadlines noted above.
  • We will gladly post if date/event DOES NOT conflict with an ASID PA East Chapter Event (within a 3-business day window).
  • If you would like your event will be cross posted to ASID PA East Website – please provide information noted above.
  • Cost per set of (2) Consecutive Issues:
    • o Members: FREE IF YOUR EVENT/CEU/ETC. HAS NO COST TO ATTEND/APPLY
    • o Members: $75 Fee IF THERE IS A CHARGE TO ATTEND THE EVENT
    • o Creation Fee – (if ASID PA East needs to create your post and/graphics) – $50.
  • All submissions to be included in 2 non-consecutive issues of EOTC are approved at the discretion of Chapter Communications.
  • Website & Social Media – Events/CEUs will be added to Social Media UPON REQUEST, for no additional charge and will include any external link that you provided with your submission. 
  • SALE PROMOTIONS., SELLING/RENTING of SPACES and/or ITEMS are NOT ACCEPTED.
  • If any fees are associated with your post –Payment must be received by Chapter Administrator no later than end of business day on the Monday 1 week prior to the Wednesday EOTC in which your submission will be included. 3% Credit Processing fee applies.

NON ASID MEMBERS POSTINGS in EOTC

  • Please refer to graphic and submission deadlines noted above under Member Postings.
  • Please refer to above for accepted and non-accepted submissions.
  • NOTE: All submissions to be included in 2 non-consecutive issues of EOTC are approved at the discretion of Chapter Communications.
  • We will gladly post if date/event DOES NOT conflict with an ASID PA East Chapter Event (within a 5-business day window for Non-Members).
  • Cost per set of (2) Consecutive Issues:
    • o Non-Members $150.00
    • o Creation Fee – (if ASID PA East needs to create your post) – $75.00.
  • All submissions to be included in 2 non-consecutive issues of EOTC are approved at the discretion of Chapter Communications.
  • Website & Social Media – Events/CEUs will be added to Social Media UPON REQUEST, for no additional charge and will include any external link that you provided with your submission. 
  • SALE PROMOTIONS, SELLING/RENTING of SPACES and/or ITEMS are NOT ACCEPTED.
  • Payment must be received by Chapter Administrator no later than end of business day on the Monday 1 week prior to the Wednesday EOTC in which your submission will be included. 3% Credit Processing fee applies.

 
Again, The ASID PA East Chapter will review all submission requests and had the discretion to include or not include in ASID PA East Chapter Communications
 

DEDICATED EMAIL BLAST ANNOUCEMENT

E-Blast sent to all our Digital Contacts

  • NEW Chapter Member (Designer/Industry Partner) E-Blast Benefit (No-Charge)

    • If you are a NEW Chapter member (not reinstated), having joined within the last fiscal year (starting 10/1/20), you are eligible for a New Member Spotlight E-Blast to our digital mailing list.
      • Your name/company must be listed on our Chapter Roster that we receive from ASID National and in good standing.
      • One (1) New member spotlight available per month on a first come first serve basis.
      • Date of blast dependent upon other Chapter email communications (including newsletter, Chapter Event and Sponsor E-Blasts)
      • Guidelines for submitting are to follow guidelines for dedicated E-Blasts.
        • Links to website and social media are suggested.
        • The Chapter will format the E-Blast.
  • Acceptable Submissions:
    • Announcing programs, meetings, events*
      • Events must be free of charge to attend.
      • If the event is within 1 week of a chapter event, we will do the best to accommodate the E-Blast but can not guarantee as priority mailing is for Chapter and/or Sponsor Events (online and in person).
    • New locations
    • Additions to staff
    • New product introductions, special offers. Sales are not accepted.
  • Please note many of these items can be added in our Chapter Digital Newsletter at no-charge for ALL Chapter members
  • Deadline for Submissions MUST BE sent to communications@pae.asid.org by end of business day on the 3 weeks prior to requested posting (No exceptions).
  • Requests for your dedicated e-blast(s) to be sent on a specific day(s)/time(s) will be dependent upon the communications schedule at time of submission. 
    • There will be more flexibility to accommodate such requests if your submission is received as soon as possible. Our E-Blast/Newsletter calendar is scheduled months in advance.

  • Per ASID National Bi-Laws – ASID Chapters may NOT share member information with any member, nonmember, vendor, or publication.

The ASID PA East Chapter Board has elect not to authorize any postal mailings at this time.  Please contact us via our Communication Guidelines if you are interested in a dedicated E-Blast or posting in our chapter newsletter – The Eye on the Chapter. Options are available for posting within those formats.
